Past Lives and Spirit Guides

I’ve been reading a lot lately about the subject of this blog entry’s title.

Now, before you think I’ve gone all woo-woo, think again. I’ve always been woo-woo.

But as I enter another half-decade of life — when big birthdays are no longer counted in 10s, but in 5s —it becomes even more crucial to disclose the truths I’ve found along the way. Truths I’ve “hidden” for fear of being judged or labeled as (God forbid) crazy.

So, here goes. But first, all you believers, please pause while I have a little talk with the skeptics.

If past lives and spirit guides are too “out there” for you, consider this …

A past life doesn’t have to be literal. It can be your life a few years ago, or a few days ago, or the amount of time it took you to read this post from start to finish.

Something in that “past life” influenced how you are reacting now. Something unresolved triggered a reaction in you. And that “past life” is impacting your current moment.

A spirit guide can be the person who triggered you.

Trust me, I have many spirit guides … both living and dead. Those of you who are alive know who you are. Don’t worry, I won’t name names.

Now back to our program.

Sign, Sign, Everywhere a Sign

You don’t have to look far to notice a sign from your spirit guides.

For me, it’s the number 11. It shows up multiple times throughout the day. Usually, on a clock. The two most constants are 6:11 and 7:11. My birthday and my mom’s birthday. These signs started showing up for me once I started asking my dad for help and trusting that he would show me the way. My dad crossed over to the other side almost eight years ago.

There are other numbers that also show up for me. A few weeks ago, 1319 was my spirit guide’s number of choice. On one particular day, my guide was very insistent. My receipts at CVS and Publix were both $13.19. 1319 was my last address in Brooklyn.

You can call it a coincidence if you want, but I choose to believe in the magic of the signs.

Are you ignoring the signs the other side is sending you? Believe me, you don’t have to look far to find them. All you have to do is release your doubts and fears. Yes, it’s that easy and that difficult.

Are you keeping silent about truths you are meant to share? By sharing, I mean sharing your beliefs without trying to convince others. Because trying to convince others that your beliefs are right and their beliefs are wrong is the best way I know to convince them that they are right and you’re wrong (read that again to make sure you understand).

Poop and Accidental Prophet

Let me be blunt. At this semi-decade of my life, I no longer give a poop about what people think of me. Regardless of how many journeys you’ve had around the sun, you shouldn’t either.

All that matters now is to be true to my mission, the reason I was put here. And if that means you won’t like me, so be it.

The only favor I ask of you is to not judge what I have to say without exploring it yourself. And if you have already written me off as too “out there,” Good riddance.
